Realme’s Truly Wireless Earbuds to Launch in India on December 17

Realme has recently launched its best-ever phone in India, the Realme X2 Pro. During the launch of its first flagship phone, the CEO Madhav Sheth announced that the company will soon launch a pair of truly wireless earphones and that the company is working on it. The company has already confirmed that the earbuds will be named Realme Buds Air and may look like Apple’s Airpods.

Madhav Seth announced the launch date and the name of the wireless earbuds on Twitter. They will launch in India on December 17 at 12.30 IST. They will be available in three colour options - Black, White, and Yellow. The company has already mentioned the new earbuds on the company website as well.

There will be no use of silicon tips in the earphones, so might not be so powerful to cancel passive noise. It means the Buds Air may leak sound. Realme claimed that inside the buds there would be 12nm Bass boost driver offering high-quality sound and Bluetooth v5.0 support along with the instant auto-connection feature. The “Open Case to Connect” feature indicates the user need to open it, and it will get automatically connected. The buds will also have smart touch controls to manage music and calls, and support for Google Assistant.

The company has made a separate live page, dedicated for the Realme Buds Air. A mic and charging pins likely to be there in the stalk of the buds. The position of the mic will be closer to the mouth that may provide better call quality than truly wireless earbuds that don’t have a stalk.

Observing Realme’s price strategy, it is not hard to say that they may cost high. The Realme is currently offering an INR 400 coupon for the earbuds to users who sign up on the ‘Notify Me’ page. The users, buying the Realme X2 Pro, the Realme X, the Realme XT, Realme X Master and the Realme 5 Pro between December 9-16, will also get an ₹400 coupon for the earbuds.
