In the past two years, this is the second time OnePlus has confirmed a data breach via their website. Previous data breach had happened in early 2018, where hackers were able to steal 40,000 users credit card information.
This time, the breach is not that severe but hackers were able to steal users information such as Name, Phone, Email, Delivery Address etc. OnePlus said, the company believes the credit card info of the users is unaffected.
OnePlus has sent a notification email to the impacted users and if you have received such an email then please keep an eye for possible phishing attempt used based on the stolen information. OnePlus said, "we are partnering with a world-renowned security platform next month, and will launch an official bug bounty program by the end of December."
