Apple may soon launch a new 13-inch MacBook Pro replacing the previous 13-inch model. It is rumored that the upcoming MacBook may feature the new Magic Keyboard design that was introduced first with the 16-inch MacBook Pro. Apple renovated its butterfly switches at least three times after it received several complaints about it. Following class-action filed lawsuits, the company admitted a free replacement program. Later, in late 2019, Apple dropped the butterfly switches totally with the 16-inch MacBook Pro.
The new information is based on a certification filing with the Eurasian Economic Commission, which often precedes the launch of a new product in specific markets. According to the database, the product labelled A2289, is a “portable personal computer” running macOS 10.15. However, there is no particular information regarding the features of the device. But, it is likely to say Apple will introduce a new MacBook Pro with some upgraded features along with the new keyboard design.
Reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo correctly predicted that Apple would launch a 13-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook Air with the new Magic Keyboard in 2020. Previously, his other prediction of Apple introducing its all-new keyboard mechanism with a 16-inch MacBook was correct.
Kuo also forecasted that the new keyboard design would come to other variants of the MacBook Pro, including the 13-inch MacBook Pro. In the previous filings of EEC, it hinted at new Apple products soon before their release, like the 9.7-inch iPad before it was announced in March 2018. So we may expect a second MacBook with a Magic Keyboard soon to get launched.
Apple has proven capable of taking its existing technologies and producing new computing forms over the past two decades. The year 2019 was quite packed with significant events for Apple as it introduced a lot of new products in the market. We can expect to see Apple unveiling more products in 2020.
